VPBank partners with Điện Máy Xanh (DMX) to launch the VPBank MWG Mastercard, offering exclusive benefits tailored to the consumer electronics and retail sector.

Cardholders of the VPBank MWG Mastercard enjoy cashback on all spending. Specifically, 10% cashback applies to transactions within the DMX ecosystem—including Thế Giới Di Động, Điện Máy Xanh, TopZone, Avakids, and Nhà thuốc An Khang—capped at VND 300,000 per billing cycle. Fashion and dining transactions earn 4% cashback, also capped at VND 300,000 per cycle, while other spending receives unlimited 0.1% cashback subject to qualifying conditions.

At the strategic partnership signing ceremony, representatives from VPBank and DMX highlighted the card’s role in enhancing customer value.

Beyond cashback, new cardholders receive 100,000 reward points via the VIP Gift app upon activation and valid transactions, plus VND 400,000 cashback when spending at least VND 2 million within the first 30 days. Annual fees are waived for the first year and subsequent years when spending requirements are met, encouraging long-term usage.

The co-branded card launch comes amid strong growth in Vietnam’s consumer electronics and retail market, rising demand for technology and household products, and a rapid shift toward cashless payments integrated with digital retail ecosystems.

The VPBank MWG Mastercard features a sleek, modern black design.

According to VPBank, this collaboration marks the next step in its strategy to develop personalized credit card solutions for distinct customer segments. “Through the VPBank MWG Mastercard, we aim to expand our credit card base, especially among younger customers, while promoting cashless payments in consumer electronics retail,” a VPBank representative stated.

From the retail perspective, Mr. Trương Hồng Hoàng, Business Development Director for DMX’s service division, emphasized that the co-branded card provides customers with more payment options and tailored benefits, particularly during peak shopping seasons. “We believe these incentives, focused on electronics and consumer needs, will be well received by the market,” he shared.

Looking ahead, VPBank and DMX plan to roll out additional promotional programs, expand cardholder benefits, and optimize customer experience by integrating financial solutions with Vietnam’s growing technology retail ecosystem.
